# botChainTestnet

> Reference for the botChainTestnet object for BOT Chain testnet, chain 968.

`botChainTestnet` is the viem chain object for BOT Chain testnet. Pass it to any viem client or wagmi config to build and test on chain 968 with free tBOT.

<Note>
  **Early release.** This is published in `@uzolabs/sdk` 0.2.0 on [npm](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@uzolabs/sdk) and you can use it today. The API may change before 1.0, so pin the version.
</Note>

<Tip>
  Everything on this page uses **testnet** (chain 968). Get free test tokens from the [faucet](https://faucet.botchain.ai/basic).
</Tip>

## Import

```ts Import theme={"dark"}
import { botChainTestnet } from "@uzolabs/sdk/chains";
```

## Example

```ts testnet-balance.ts theme={"dark"}
import { createPublicClient, formatEther, http } from "viem";
import { botChainTestnet } from "@uzolabs/sdk/chains";
const client = createPublicClient({ chain: botChainTestnet, transport: http() });
const address = "0xEc526474F4F9De027942d5f7118A9613266B0C4c"; // Replace with your address
const balance = await client.getBalance({ address });
console.log(`${formatEther(balance)} ${botChainTestnet.nativeCurrency.symbol}`);
console.log(`${botChainTestnet.blockExplorers.default.url}/address/${address}`);
```

Output from a run on 2026-10-02:

```text Output theme={"dark"}
8.859351339982351838 tBOT
https://scan.bohr.life/address/0xEc526474F4F9De027942d5f7118A9613266B0C4c
```

If the balance is 0, get tBOT from the [faucet](https://faucet.botchain.ai/basic).
