What it will be
A starter project for Ponder, an open-source TypeScript framework for indexing EVM events into a database you can query. The starter is planned to come with BOT Chain testnet and mainnet already configured, so you add your contract’s ABI and address and start indexing.Why it isn’t available yet
Ponder reads events witheth_getLogs. BOT Chain documents that method as disabled on its public RPCs, and unbounded ranges failed in our tests. An indexer that backfills from a contract’s deployment block needs a reliable logs-enabled RPC. The starter depends on Uzo RPC, which is also planned.
What to use meanwhile
- For history, read decoded logs from the BOTScan API.
- For recent events, use chunked
eth_getLogs. - If you run your own BOT Chain node, its RPC has no public limits, and you can point an indexer at it. See Index chain data.
