Testnet beta. Uzo Deploy is live on BOT Chain testnet (chain 968). Mainnet is not enabled yet. Everything here is free to try with test tokens from the faucet.
Tested, not audited. Uzo Deploy’s templates are built on OpenZeppelin Contracts and have full test coverage, but they have not had a professional audit. Start on testnet, and on mainnet use amounts you can afford to lose.
Deploy an NFT collection contract, then mint tokens, set the metadata link and freeze it from the Manage page.

What you get

  • An ERC-721 collection. It starts empty.
  • Owner minting. Only the owner can mint, one at a time with mint or several at once with mintBatch.
  • A fixed maximum supply. It can’t be raised later.
  • A metadata link (base URI). Token 1 reads its metadata from the link followed by 1, token 2 from the link followed by 2, and so on.
  • Freezable metadata. freezeMetadata locks the metadata link forever.
  • Optional ERC-2981 royalties, up to 10%.
  • Two-step ownership transfer. The new owner has to accept before ownership moves.
The contract has no sale or payment function, so it never holds funds.

Images and metadata

Uzo Deploy does not upload images or metadata. Upload your metadata files first (for example to an IPFS folder), then use that folder’s link as the metadata link. If the link is ipfs://YOUR_FOLDER_CID/, token 1 reads ipfs://YOUR_FOLDER_CID/1. Make sure each file is named by its token number.

Freezing is permanent

Freezing stops anyone, including the owner, from changing the metadata link again. It can’t be undone. It only locks the link. It does not lock whatever the link points to. If the link is an https:// URL, whoever runs that server can still change the files. Content-addressed links like ipfs:// don’t have that problem.

After you deploy

Open the collection’s Manage page to mint, set or change the metadata link, freeze it, or transfer ownership.

Source and customizing

The contract is UzoNFT.sol in the uzo-deploy repo, built on OpenZeppelin Contracts. To add a public mint, a price or anything else, use the templates repo. See the NFT walkthrough.
