For recipients
Create a tip jar
Deploy the Tip Jar template. Set a title, such asCoffee for Ada, and the recipient address that should receive every tip. The recipient can’t be changed later.
Share the link
Your tip page is athttps://deploy.uzolabs.xyz/tip/ followed by your jar’s address. The last step of the deploy shows the link with a copy button.
For more ways to share, open the jar’s manage page. It has:
- a QR code people can scan with their phone,
- a copy button for the tip link,
- Open tip page, to see what tippers see,
- a Share button, where your browser supports sharing.
See tips received
The manage page also shows the tips you’ve received: the total, the number of tips and tipping addresses, and recent tips with their messages. It updates every 30 seconds, and a new tip can take a minute to appear. Tips arrive in your wallet at once, in the same transaction. The list is only a record. For tippers
What you need
- A wallet that can connect to BOT Chain. See Connect a wallet.
- USDT or BOT on the same network as the jar, plus a little BOT for gas. On testnet, both come free from the faucet.
Send a tip
- Open the tip link you were given.
- Check the recipient address shown under the title (see the safety note below).
- Under Pay with, choose USDT or BOT.
- Pick 1, 5 or 10, or enter your own amount.
- Add a message if you like. It’s optional and public, up to 140 characters (bytes), and stored on chain for anyone to read.
- Connect your wallet. If it’s on the wrong network, select Switch to the network shown.
- Send the tip:
- BOT: select Send (the button shows the amount) and approve one transaction.
- USDT: select Step 1 of 2: allow and approve. This lets the jar move exactly this amount, nothing more. Then select Step 2 of 2: send and approve again.
- When it’s done, the page shows Tip sent and a link to the transaction.
